CA "YEAH DAT"

Long Beach California is well known for birthing rap giants; lyricist, CA, is continuing this legacy. Not ashamed to admit he has a big ego this West coast lyricist is out to prove he’s as fly in person as he is on the mic. Rapping since the 3rd grade CA has a solid foundation in music sighting his life-long ability to memorize songs after only one listen. A true emcee, he’s been writing raps since the age of twelve.
CA has overcome a very dark past. After being shot and spending a few years behind bars this former gang member has his head set on straight and is only ready to wreck havoc in the studio. In conjunction with Rocket, J Rock and many more, CA is determined to put the West back on the map through the New West Movement. The movement is an agreement between West Coast rappers to help each other out in any way possible; all with the common goal of reigniting the West’s swag. This shouldn’t be difficult for CA who says he’s not selling image—he’s selling himself.
Opening up for Glasses Malone (Cash Money) as well as Technique CA has been spittin’ to the masses all over the place: from The Knitting Factory, Coco Cabana to the Aqua Lounge. Feautred in Kontro magazine, CA is hijacking fans by any means necessary. This summer marks the release of CA’s first LP State of Emergency, which features the lead single “Yeah Dat.” State of Emergency named after the current state of west coast rap promises to deliver some much needed relief with production by Duane “DaRock” Ramos, M16 (Duffle Bag Boy), and Goldie Loc (Eastsidaz). CA is without a doubt an artist to watch.
