HOTTEST GROUP BOY REKLESS

BOY REKLESS Composed of two rising superstars, JKay and J.D. Salbego, BOY REKLESS have successfully fused multiple genres of music to create a sound unlike any other, appealing to listeners of a variety of genres. With beefy synths and hypnotic drum patterns, BOY REKLESS offer a kind of music for those craving fresh sound and lyrics. The two first met when JKay happened to be in the studio and worked with producer/songwriter, JD Salbego. Through this random encounter, BOY REKLESS was formed! Their high energy performances, awash in catchy hooks, stirring arrangements, and epic thematic aspiration, have quickly taken the music scene by storm.
JKay was born Jonathan Knight on September 15, 1986 in Los Angeles. As a child, there was always something very unique about him. Anything he got his hands on, he perfected it whether it was playing sports or playing in the band. His first performance was in 2nd grade where he performed to Kriss Kross’ first single "Jump". He realized right then and there that working in music and performing was what he wanted to do for the rest of his life. Throughout elementary and middle school he continued to enter talent shows where he consistently won first place. In middle school he played saxophone for three years ending in the 8th grade advance band and moved onto the high school band, switching to playing drums. After high school, JKay continued making music, developing several hip hop and R&B groups. Everything JKay has done since the 2nd grade has been working towards perfecting his musical talent and art. He is the complete artist: He is a rapper, singer, and song writer. He has a distinctive Motown writing style fused with today's pop culture. His catchy lyrics and melodies easily stand out over any track he writes to.
J.D. Salbego has a voice that is truly unique and fresh, while bringing a double edged sword of lyrics and melody to his songs. J.D. was born and raised in LA. At age 5 he was picking up his brother's guitar, mimicking what he saw on MTV, his favorite rock stars. With an inspiration to perform he would entertain his family and their friends at parties trading off between his brother's guitar and his mom's old upright piano, singing and improvising melodies and lyrics. This was the beginning of his songwriting, and a STAR in the making.
Fresh out of high school and unlike many of his contemporaries, he decided to take a different road to stardom. While playing in numerous local bands, he focused his energy and knew that learning the "the behind the scenes" aspect, building experience, and relationships would propel his career to the next level. He immediately gained success and notoriety in the music business, eventually gaining representation by Bill Lucas, (Senior Director Urban Marketing at Universal Music Group). That led to becoming an artist/producer for major labels, most notably remixing “Cooler Kids” for Ron Handler at Dreamworks, as well as working with many respected artists like Snoop Dog, Juvenile, Brian Littrell (Back Street Boys), B2K, Marques Houston, Bill Gibbons, George Clinton, and producers JR Rotem, Kevin "She'kspere" Briggs, T Scott. For some, this would have been enough; A good life. But for J.D., it wasn't. He was ready to focus solely on his own music and go full throttle.
